Angie and I much enjoyed Pat's company, she played babminton with him a bit, and we have missed him ever since he moved off the meadow. We are flooded in just now, waders to get through the entry ford, and Pat would have been in his element. By coincidence we were looking at a newspaper cutting Jackie Budd has the other night which quoted Pat (as TMRA chairman) objecting to the compulsory purchase of part of the meadow for the new bridge. 1995 I think Well it opened 2013 and is splendid - but no doubt some of our flooding could be blamed on the compulsory purchase!!! Many happy memories and thank you for stepping in when you had to to care for our lovely friend. Pat used of be chairman of the TMRA, and we have a meeting next week when we will record the news in our minutes. It was great fun and a privilege to have been able to know him as a result of our joining the Thames Meadow community. He actively welcomed us into it in his most charming way.
